I am aware of some kind of deep level terminal trick to make it work but i am not gonna do that. The will release Sierra compatible software in november. Officially stated it doesn't work currently under Sierra. I normally use my UAD Apollo Twin thunderbolt as audiodevice in Reaper, but UAD Macbook 2015 Retina, I7, 2.5 ghz, 4 cores, 16 gig RAM, 512 gig SSD.īuilt-in soundcard used buffersize 512 and 44.1 khz in Reaper. This is just based on my more than 20 years experience with OSX and it's installation (culprits) Now, i wanna state that a CLEAN install of a major OSX version is always better than UPDATING. I hope this thread is useful for people wanting to head over to Sierra.

I will update this thread on a regular basis.

I want to share my findings with you in this thread, concerning installment of plugins and if/how they work in Reaper, under Sierra. My macbook home isn't used for real serious audio work (i have dedicated studio with a Hackintosh for my daily audio job). I did the install from an 8 gig USB 2 stick.įor making this "usb Sierra install stick", i used this nifty and free utility: Took about 40 minutes, the install went without any errors.

Yesterday i took the plunge and did a CLEAN install of OSX Sierra on my Macbook Retina 2015.
